Two Short Posts In One- Proposal to Eliminate Income Tax, and CIA Admits Lab Origin of Sars-Cov-2
Alternative to Income Tax
Apparently Republicans are dragging out an old proposal from the late 90’s for a National Sales Tax to replace the Income Tax. This would likely be on the order of a 30% tax.
Almost half the country pays no tax or very little income tax because their income is very low. These people get screwed. The rich spend a very small percentage of income on goods and services in the US. They can only eat so many pizzas or buy so many clothes. So if they only spend 20 % of their million dollars income on such things it would be a 6% tax. Somebody making 50k paying little income tax (~11%) probably spends 60% (40% goes for rent and utilities and stuff not taxed) so this is closer to 20% tax. Someone making 25,000 living in parents basement pays 5% income tax and spends almost all on taxable items so pays 30% tax under the proposal.
Thats a regressive tax. As I pointed out in a previous post the income tax was adopted by popular demand since the excise tax and tariffs at the time were regressive taxes that impact working class disproportionately and benefitsthe rich monopolists
What I propose is also an old proposal from the 90’s. Its also fairer and will generate more money. I mentioned it in my previous post but it was buried at the end

Transaction tax.
https://econwpa.ub.uni-muenchen.de/econ-wp/pe/papers/0106/0106001.pdf
With all the talk about Bitcoin which has a transaction volume of only $100 billion a day globally, and about 30% of that is exchanging it with the USD. The US transacts about $ 3.5 trillion in USD every day, or $1.5 quadrillion. Most of our transactions go through the Fedwire
Annual, Daily
Checks $27 trillion, $74 billion
Cash $700 billion, $2 billion
Ach $92 trillion, $250 billion
Credit card $5 trillion $13 billion
Debit card $4.5 trillion $12 billion
Fedwire $1,130 trillion $ 3.1 trillion per day
Total- ~$1,260 trillion per year
https://www.frbservices.org/resources/financial-services/wires/volume-value-stats/monthly-stats.html
A 0.3% tax on each transaction split equally between buyer and seller generates $ 3.8 trillion in tax. You could eliminate all income and corporate tax which combined account for $3 trillion and wipe out half of the $1.5 trillion deficit to boot.
Why are we not considering this simple option? Of course, those who transact more pay more but they also are free of the income and profit tax.
COVID Origins
As you CIA has now endorsed the limited hangout of COVID Lab Origins (WIV) and Accidental Release. Big Whoop.
But of course, nobody dares consider it was Made In USA and deliberately released.
Ron UNZ Is now onboard with this and brings up an interesting quote from Farrar book and reminds us of Charles Liebers arrest
https://www.unz.com/runz/american-pravda-if-anything-happens-to-me/
Charles Lieber
…..in late January 2020, a dawn raid by the FBI suddenly arrested Prof. Charles Lieber, one of Harvard University’s top scientists and Chairman of its Chemistry Department, someone characterized as a potential future Nobel Laureate.
Prof. Lieber had long had close research ties with China and was an expert on virology, and although the charges against him were extremely obscure—alleged reporting violations in the disclosure portions of his government grant applications—he was dragged off to prison in shackles and threatened with many years of federal incarceration.
As I speculated in my original April 2020 article:
But I think a far more likely possibility is that Lieber began to wonder whether the epidemic in China might not be the result of an American biowarfare attack, and was perhaps a little too free in voicing his suspicions, thereby drawing the wrath of our national security establishment. Inflicting such extremely harsh treatment upon a top Harvard scientist would greatly intimidate all of his lesser colleagues elsewhere, who would surely now think twice before broaching certain controversial theories to any journalist.
Jeremy Farrar
Farrar recounts that “by the second week in January [2020], I was beginning to realize the scale of what was happening. During that period, I would do things I had never done before: acquire a burner phone, hold clandestine meetings, keep difficult secrets.”
Farrar’s wife, Christiane, insists that he ring “people close to us, so they would understand what was going on in case anything happened to [you]” …Farrar also told his brother that British and American intelligence agencies were in the loop…Farrar painted a dangerous scenario: “‘If anything happens to me in the next few weeks,’ I told them nervously, ‘this is what you need to know.’”
It may be more than pure coincidence that Farrar’s urgent request for a “burner” phone was sent almost simultaneously with Lieber’s sudden arrest. Unlike Paul, I very much doubt that Farrar was worried that the Chinese secret police could somehow threaten his safety in Britain.
But other intelligence services might indeed constitute a very serious menace, especially if the private speculations of Farrar and his colleagues had extended far beyond the fleeting references he eventually published in Spike
. Along with most of the top virologists, he believed that Covid seemed bioengineered. He mentioned the speculation among those individuals that Covid was a bioweapon, deliberately released. He emphasized that the Covid outbreak had hit China at the absolute worst place and time, in the major transit hub of Wuhan shortly before Chinese Lunar New Year, when 450 million Chinese would be traveling. He even raised the possibility that this sort of incident could lead to a world war.
None of these concerns were consistent with the hypothesis of either a natural virus or an accidental lab-leak. Instead, Farrar and those in his circle were obviously discussing the serious possibility that the Covid outbreak might have been a biowarfare attack against China.
I have a slightly different take. I think the virus was engineered in US and tested on humans in some overseas location to ensure it was not too dangerous but transmissible enough to leave a genetic signature that would be amenable to testing as it spread through the population. China was convinced to allow it to be released in their backyard so they could show how well they could contain it with lockdowns.
This may sound far fetched but while Chinas reasons for wanting a Pandemic may have differed from that in the West both sought to exploit it to exercise more control over their populations, reduce their elderly population, and test out new technology and of course there were profits to be made.
