My last couple of posts I noticed a lack of engagement, not that us amoebas get much even on a good day. Since they were about COVID I was planning to write it off as COVID Fatigue.
But I decided to do a test with an email account I set up with substack early on to Test if it was working correctly (receipt and engagement). So I checked to see if my emails were sent out and received. Check. Then I liked one of them, and it showed I had liked the post. Check.
I then went back to my substack and it did not show an increase in likes.
I checked my active substack email and notifications to see if notification of my like was received. It was not. But two others were.
Could it be a glitch? Maybe. I will watch for this by trying again tomorrow.
If I am shadow banned, for what reason? After all, this is the land of almost anything goes, or is it?
Pete, I had a similar issue with likes and comments a few weeks ago, assumed it was just glitchy, or that I hadn’t formatted the post properly, etc. I’ve been researching lately so haven’t posted anything in a while, so don’t know if the issue resolved.
I don’t trust any site, no matter how much they claim to be “free speech absolutists.” They’re all about respecting our rights, until they’re not.
Substack webhost is AWS. Amazon Web Services. 🤔
