Thoughts on Israel and Zionism

I haven’t written much of late, the fog of War makes it hard to know whats really going on besides the fact an awful lot of civilians and kids are dying horrible deaths. So I am choosing to spend more time brushing up on the history of Zionism , Christian Zionism Muslim Brotherhood and Israels History.

I had done so for about 6 years after 9/11 but felt I needed to brush up on it, and the second time through was so much more productive , but also discouraging.

Why discouraging? Because so many are brainwashed by Pro-Israel Mythology the truth is beyond their comprehension. Plus,   Americas true religion is Militarism and Israeli Mythology is a big part of it, not to mention the Christian Zionism aspects, so they really are not open to the truth

I suspect most of my free subscribers are on the Right as my posts on Trump and Israel tend to lose me free subscribers and get fewer opens/views, not that I care much, it just shows many are not open to questioning their beliefs.

After COVID I thought I saw an opportunity for those on the Right to finally question 9/11 and the needless Wars that followed.   It was so clear that Operation COVID was a Military-Intelligence Industrial Complex Op, enabled by the Anthrax Attacks that followed 9/11 getting the support for building the Biosecurity State

I laid out Operation Covid out as best I could showing how the Trump Administration engineered it, which had bipartisan support. Democrats were certainly complicit.

That didn’t fly, because after Militarism the Rights next favorite false idol is Politics, particularly those that have entered the Trump Cult

So much for COVID being an awakening of Critical Thinkers on the Right. It became politicized and the COVID policies pushed by Trumps NSC were blamed on the Left.  Poor Trump was simply misled by the Evil and all Powerful Fauci. 😂. God help us all

But the fact of the matter is they were on the Right Side.   Much of what they were told about COVID, beyond its Lab Origins (Wuhan did not engineer the Virus, that was done in US) was the Truth.  Their favorite Social Media Influencers led them true, at least for awhile, building their credibility and setting themselves to mislead you on other issues.

Many of them are misleading you on Israel, but most are happy to be misled.

Now for a few thoughts on Israel and Zionism.   Christian Zionism actually predates Jewish Zionism.  Judaism had always taught Jews would need to wait for the Messiah before they could return to Israel and not to force the issue.  Thats why religious Jews wanted nothing to do with it before the Holocaust.

Christians were taught End Times would come after the Jews were returned to Israel when Jews would all convert to Christianity. Something like that. Many expect to be Raptured at some point but for those supporting Genocide to speed up the End Times it might look more like this

Jewish Zionism took hold in Russia along with Socialism in opposition to the Czar following pogroms of 1880’s.  They were revolutionaries. The “Love of Zion” was established in Russia in 1881 before Herzl was to establish the World Zionist organization in 1897.  The Zionists were secular Jews and the first groups of Jewish Settlers to Palestine were from the Russian Empire. 

Some of them like David Ben-Gurion adopted Socialism and hatched Zionist Socialism or Labour Zionism.

The Jews that were already in Palestine were religious Jews and they didn’t get along with the new settlers , but were quickly outnumbered. Also the new settlers were mostly Urban Jews not used to farm work which is one reason the Zionists in Palestine took to recruiting Yemen Jews to immigrate to Palestine

The true birthplace of practical Zionism must be situated in Eastern Europe, and above all within the Russian Empire, from which almost the entire Zionist—and later Israeli—elite had originated for more than a century.

Traces of Russian cultural influence are likewise visible in more recent history: Israeli military heroes Moshe Dayan, Ezer Weizmann, Itzhak Rabin, Rehavam Zeevi, Raphael Eitan, and Ariel Sharon are all descendants of Russian Jews,

The Russian dimension of Zionism cannot be overestimated. One telling indicator is the composition of the Knesset 12 years after the founding of the state. Despite the almost total prohibition of emigration from the Soviet Union for more than four decades, over 70 percent of the members of this political elite were Russian-born, while 13 percent were born in Palestine/Israel of Russian parents. The American Zionist elites, whose support was crucial for Zionism’s success, were also composed primarily of Jews of Russian origin.

Russian Jews make up the most reliable electoral base for the Israeli right wing. “It is quite natural for the Russians to gravitate to right-wing parties; they form a political camp that has long drawn sustenance from the ideological heritage of the great leaders of Zionism, Jabotinsky and Begin, both born in the Russian Empire,” notes a Russian journalist with overt sympathies for the Israeli right.

The right-wing party Israel Beitenu (“Israel our home”), most of whose members and supporters are recent Russian-speaking immigrants, casts the Russian dimension of the Zionist project in sharp relief. Soviet-born Avigdor Liberman, former Israeli deputy prime minister and foreign minister, is often described in the Israeli press as a fascist. Many extra-parliamentary activists of Soviet origin farther to the right than Israel Beitenu have built up solid ties with right-wing extremist groups, in Russia above all.

The majority of immigrants from the former USSR, at least one third of whom cannot be considered as Jews according to rabbinical law, have contributed handsomely to this shift to the right.

Before the British took over Ottoman Palestine it was a pretty miserable place.  Many of the new immigrants ended up leaving but money from Baron Rothschild and other rich American/European Zionists kept it going until the British arrived shortly after the Balfour Declaration was announced.

I will skip over the Mandate Years as I want to do a longer post on that and the Muslim Brotherhood and don’t want this post to be overly long, so I will skip to 1948

In 1948  Jews had only 1/3 the population, owned 5.8% of the land and occupied 10% of the territory but the UN awarded them 56% of the land (they  owned 11% of this 56%), including its major port, with the understanding the Palestinians within the border remained.  Palestinians said No, they didn’t want to be split into 2 countries and require a visa to visit family and friends. Plus they really didn’t have any leadership as most were kicked out by the British following the Arab Revolt (1936-1939).

Zionists accepted the Partition but actually wanted at least 80% of the land mostly free of Palestinians. When the British left Israel declared independence without setting any borders.  Before  this  declaration  they  had  already  started  ethnically cleansing Palestinians and seizing more of the land .

The Arab Armies that were sent to stop this ethnic cleansing were insufficient in numbers and arms while Israel was supplied with modern weapons from France and Soviets (Czechs ). Many of these weapons arrived following the 1st ceasefire in June giving them a decisive advantage when War resumed

During the War they assassinated the UN mediator who was pushing hard for the right of return for the refugees

At the end of the day Israel held 78% of the land with over 750,000 Palestinian Arabs forced from their homes. 20% of the population that remained were Arabs as somebody needed to work the farms until sufficient numbers of immigrants came. They were kept under Military Rule until 1966.

The rest of the 22% of Palestine was recovered in the 1967 War started by Israel.  They had no place to force the Palestinians as neither Jordan, Syria or Egypt would take them and so they chose permanent occupation, with the Palestinian population kept under Military Rule.

This is not all of Palestine though. The original Mandate called Palestine was much larger, and those on the right imagine a Greater Israel encompassing lands in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia

To end this  I would like to share some Quotes I picked up among my various readings. I will list my research books at the end but I cant vouch for all the quotes

1862, Moses Hess had emphasized the purity of his race:

“The Jewish race is one of the primary races of mankind that has retained its integrity, in spite of the continual change of its climatic environment, and the Jewish type has conserved its purity through the centuries.” “The Jewish type is indestructible.” Therefore, “a Jew belongs to his race and consequently also to Judaism, in spite of the fact that he or his ancestors have become apostates.”

1895-Herzl (Diary)

We shall have to spirit the penniless population across the border by procuring employment for it in the transit countries while denying it any employment in our own country… Both the process of expropriation (of Arab land) and the removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly.

Rabbi Stephen S. Wise was the major leadership figure of the American Jewish Congress during its formative period.  As early as 1900, Wise is recorded telling a Zionist gathering that

“there are 6,000,000 living, bleeding, suffering arguments in favor of Zionism”

as reported in a New York Times article.

On March 25, 1906, The New York Times could evoke the fate of “Russia’s 6,000,000 Jews”:

“the Russian Government’s studied policy for the ‘solution’ of the Jewish question is systematic and murderous extermination.”

Herzl writes in his Journal:

“Anti-Semitism is a propelling force which, like the wave of the future, will bring Jews into the promised land. […] Anti-Semitism has grown and continues to grow—and so do I.”

1918-Ben-Gurion  writings affirmed that the Romans exiled only a few members of the elite, and that the majority of Jews of the era of the Second Temple continued to live in the land while pursuing their economic activities. Furthermore, historians of the Roman era by no means support the thesis of the exile of the entire population of conquered countries. Later, under Byzantine and then Arab influence, this population may have morphed into the group that today identifies itself as Palestinian

1919- Jabotinsky wrote in HaAretz,

“In the national home, we’ll declare those Jews who fail to rid themselves of the rust of exile, and refuse to shave their beards and side-locks, second-class citizens. We will not give them the right to vote.”

1919-March 5, the New York Times revealed that 30 of the most prominent and outstanding Jewish Americans had signed a petition to President Wilson.

In their petition the anti-Zionist Jewish Americans warned against any U.S. commitment

“now or in the future to Jewish territorial sovereignty in Palestine.”

Such a demand, the anti-Zionists said,

“not only misrepresented the trend of the history of the Jews who ceased to be a nation 2,000 years ago, but involves the limitation and possible annulment of the larger claim of Jews for full citizenship and human rights in all lands in which those human rights are not yet secure.”

The anti-Zionist petition to President Wilson also contained this statement:

It is not true that Palestine is the national home of the Jewish people, and of no other people… To subject Jews to the possible recurrence of such bitter and sanguinary conflicts, which would be inevitable, would be a crime against the triumph of their whole past history and against the lofty and world-embracing visions of their great prophets and leaders... Whether the Jews be regarded as a ‘race’ or as a religion, it is contrary to democratic principles for which the World War was waged to found a nation on either or both of these bases.

1920-An early American Jewish Congress news story and fund drive article from May 20, 1920, included this message:

“The fund for Jewish war sufferers in Central and Eastern Europe where six millions face horrifying conditions of famine, disease and death.”

1920-Winston Churchill wrote in a famous article in the Illustrated Sunday Herald published February 8, 1920:

“There is no need to exaggerate the part played in the creation of Bolshevism and in the actual bringing about of the Russian Revolution by these international and for the most part atheistical Jews. It is certainly a very great one; it probably outweighs all others.”

1921-Henry Morgenthau Sr-all in a lifetime (autobiography)

Zionism is the most stupendous fallacy in Jewish history. It is wrong in principle and impossible of realization; it is unsound in economics;fanatical in its politics and sterile in its spiritual ideas. I speak as a Jew.

1921-Arthur Ruppin

Most exciting was the debate on Jabotinsky‟s proposal to establish new Jewish battalions in Palestine. Ussishkin and I spoke against it, the other members of the Executive were in favor and finally the proposal was adopted by a large majority. I doubt if it will be to our advantage, however. I am afraid that it may be the beginning of militarism and power politics

1922 Ben-Gurion affirmed that the Palestinian fellahin (peasants) were most probably the biological descendants of the Jews of the 1st century.

In 1922, as president of the Zionist Executive Committee, Sokolow made a strikingly prophetic declaration:

“Jerusalem some day will become the capital of the world’s peace.”

1931-William Hechler, a Christian Zionist, one of Herzl’s prophetic inspirations, who in 1931 told a Jewish Zionist,:

“a part of European Jewry will be immolated for the resurrection of your Biblical homeland.”

1934-Joachim Prinz, a Zionist ideologist of German Jewry, who became president of the American Jewish Congress (1958–1966), writes in his book Wir Juden (“We the Jews”) published in Berlin in 1934:

“We want assimilation to be replaced by a new law: the declaration of belonging to the Jewish nation and the Jewish race. A state built upon the principle of the purity of nation and race can only be honored and respected by a Jew who declares his belonging to his own kind. […] For only he who honors his own breed and his own blood can have an attitude of honor towards the national will of other nations.”

1935-Jabotinsky, leader of Revisionist Zionism in opposition to Zionist Socialism of Hess

“Revisionism is naïve, brutal and primitive. It is savage. You go out into the street and pick any man—a Chinaman—and ask him what he wants and he will say 100 percent of everything. That’s us. We want a Jewish Empire.”

1935-Reinhardt Heydrich, chief of the SS Security Service, wrote in 1935 in Das Schwarze Korps, the official SS journal:

“We must separate Jewry into two categories: the Zionists and those who favour being assimilated. The Zionists adhere to a strict racial position and by emigrating to Palestine they are helping to build their own Jewish state. […] The time cannot be far distant when Palestine will again be able to accept its sons who have been lost to it for over a thousand years. Our good wishes together with our official good will go with them.”

This is not to say Hitlers views were as kindly.

1937-Joachim Prinz, a Zionist ideologist of German Jewry, who became president of the American Jewish Congress (1958–1966). Prinz left Germany in 1937 and immediately justified himself in an article for the journal Young Zionist titled “Zionism under the Nazi Government”:

“The government announced very solemnly that there was no country in the world which tried to solve the Jewish problem as seriously as did Germany. Solution of the Jewish question? It was our Zionist dream! We never denied the existence of the Jewish question! Dissimilation? It was our own appeal!”

1937…. Haim Weizmann, future President of Israel

The old ones will pass. They will bear their fate or they will not. They are dust, economic and moral dust in a cruel world .... Only the branch of the young shall survive .... They have to accept it.”

1938, following the Kristallnacht, which set off a wave of physical violence against Germany’s Jews, Ben-Gurion said:

If I knew that all Jewish children could be saved by having them relocated to England, but only half by transferring them to Palestine, I would chose the second option, because what is at stake would not only have been the fate of those children, but also the historical destiny of the Jewish people.

1938….Haim Weizmann, future President of Israel

Palestine can not absorb the Jews of Europe.  We want only the best of Jewish youth to come to us.  We want only the educated to enter Palestine for the purpose of increasing its culture.  The other Jews will have to stay where they are and face whatever fate awaits them.  These millions of Jews are dust on the wheels of history and they may have to be blown away.  We dont want them pouring into Palestine.  We dont want Tel AVIV To become another low grade ghetto

As Hannah Arendt has shown in her controversial book Eichmann in Jerusalem (1963), Nazi policy was pro-Zionist until 1938, and “all leading positions in the Nazi-appointed Reichsvereinigung’.        [compulsory organization of all Jews in Nazi Germany] were held by Zionists.”

“There existed in those first years a mutually highly satisfactory agreement between the Nazi authorities and the Jewish Agency for Palestine—a ‘ Haavarah’ , or Transfer Agreement, which provided that an emigrant to Palestine could transfer his money there in German goods and exchange them for pounds upon arrival. It was soon the only legal way for a Jew to take his money with him. The alternative was the establishment of a blocked account, which could be liquidated abroad only at a loss of between fifty and ninety-five percent). The result was that in the thirties, when American Jewry took great pains to organize a boycott of German merchandise, Palestine, of all places, was swamped with all kinds of ‘goods made in Germany’.”

Some sixty thousand wealthy Jews benefited from this Haavara Agreement

1939-Ben-Gurion WZO

Call me an anti-Semite, but I must say this... We are choked with shame over what is taking place in Germany, Poland, America — Jews who won’t dare to fight. Will we not gather courage anywhere in the world?... We are not part of such a Jewish people. We rebel against such a Jewish people. We don’t want to be such Jews.”4

1940-Joseph Weitz was the head of the Jewish Agency’s Colonisation Department. In 1940 he wrote a secret memorandum headed A Solution to the (Jewish) Refugee Problem. It said:

“Between ourselves it must be clear that there is no room for both peoples together in this country. We shall not achieve our goal if the Arabs are in this country. There is no other way than to transfer the Arabs from here to neighbouring countries—all of them. Not one village, not one tribe, should be left.”

1941-Lehi or Stern Gang, a dissident faction of the terrorist Irgun, led by future head of state Yitzhak Shamir,. In a document dated January 11, 1941, it recognized that

“The evacuation of the Jewish masses from Europe is a precondition for solving the Jewish question,” envisioning “the establishment of the historical Jewish state on a national and totalitarian basis, and bound by treaty with the German Reich,” and, with that aim, “offers to actively take part in the war on Germany’s side.” The talks came to an end with the arrest by the British authorities of several Lehi members, including Yitzhak Shamir, for “terrorism and collaboration with the Nazi enemy.”

1942-Wise presented a detailed memorandum on atrocities committed in areas occupied by German, Rumanian, Hungarian, and Slovak troops and summarized the statistical effect of the campaign on the Jews living in each country. One example:

“The total number of Jews in Poland, after the deduction of some 500,000 refugees in Russia, should have approximated 2,800,000.”

1942 December 8,, Ben-Gurion declared at the Mapai general assembly:

“It is the job of Zionism not to save the remnant of  Israel in Europe but rather to save the land of Israel for the Jewish people and the Yishuw.”—

1940’s Sol Meyer, a wartime Zionist functionary, refused to save thousands of lives by paying the Nazis, arguing,

“If we do not have sufficient victims, we shall have no right to demand an independent state …. It is insolent [and] shameless to ask monies for the enemy to succor our blood, for only by blood shall we obtain the land.”

1943 Hypolinary (Apolinari) Hartglass, the former head of Poland’s Zionist Federation and future director general of the Ministry of the Interior in Israel, declared that people should save

“only children (the best prospective material for the Yishuv [Zionist settlement]) and members of the Zionist youth movements, as well as some adult Zionist activists.”

February 12 to 14, 1945, aboard the cruiser USS Quincy. Ibn Saud expressed his fears about the consequences of US support for the Zionists and Roosevelt gave him his word, confirmed by a letter dated April 5, that he

“would take no action, in my capacity as Chief of the Executive Branch of this Government, which might prove hostile to the Arab people.”

Roosevelt died on April 12th of natural causes

1948-Ralph Schoenman’s account in The Hidden History of Zionism, the Koening Memorandum included this:

“We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population.”

In a letter on 4 December 1948 to the Editor of the New York Times (NYT), Albert Einstein, Hannah Arendt, Sydney Hook, et al, wrote –

“Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our times is the emergence in the newly created state of Israel of the “Freedom Party”

Freedom party a political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy, and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties. It was formed out of the membership and following of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi.

“The current visit of Menachem Begin, leader of this party, to the United States is obviously calculated to give the impression of American support for his party in the coming Israeli elections, and to cement political ties with conservative Zionist elements in the United States.” 

Begin would cofound the Likud party with Ariel Sharon in 1973

Haim Hazaz (1898–1973), a Kiev-born author and Zionist ideologue, expressed similar views through one of his protagonists:

Zionism and Judaism are not the same thing, but two very distinct things. In fact, there can be no doubt that they are two self-contradictory things. When one can no longer be a Jew, one becomes a Zionist. Zionism has emerged from the ruins of Judaism, as the people faced exhaustion …. One thing is certain, Zionism is not a continuation—nor is it the remedy for a sickness. It uproots and destroys.

A Threat from Within: A History of Jewish Opposition to Zionism

Political Zionism teaches Dual Loyalty and, in this dual loyalty, when the occasion arises, greater loyalty to the State of Israel than to the country of one’s birth or adoption. Political Zionism is thus not only not consistent with good citizenship, but has in it most fertile seeds for proliferation of anti-Semitism. … Political Zionism intentionally stirs up anti-Semitism. From the very beginning, it has been the policy to deliberately incite hatred of the Jew and, then, in feigned horror, point to it to justify a Jewish state. Machiavellianism raised to the ninth degree.

1968-General Matti Peled (A Generals Son)

He claimed with certainty that holding onto the West Bank and the people who lived in it was contrary to Israel’s long-term strategy of building a secure Jewish democracy with a stable Jewish majority. If we kept these lands, popular resistance to the occupation was sure to arise, and Israel’s army would be used to quell that resistance, with disastrous and demoralizing results. He concluded that this would turn the Jewish state into an increasingly brutal occupying power and eventually into a bi-national state.
