The Shooting
So hardly any news about Iran today as everybody is distracted by the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
On March 2, two days after authorizing a surprise attack on Iran, Trump confirmed that he would attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner for the first time as president, marking his participation in the April 25, 2026 event. He had previously skipped the annual gathering during his first term (2017-2021) and the previous year
Somehow while the dinner was in progress a gunman armed with a shotgun, handgun and knives races through a security checkpoint without being shot until he unloads on a secret service agent ahead of him and is brought down somehow. Fortunately he never made it to the ballroom the dinner was being held on which was on the floor below
We have only a ridiculously grainy video of the shooter running through the checkpoint, probably downgraded to protect the secret service agents guarding entry to the area who demonstrated his quick response in jumping away from the shooter and letting him run past
Secret Service seems to have learned little from 2024. The current Secret Service Director Sean Curran, appointed by Trump led President Donald Trump‘s protective detail before his second inauguration. Curran was present during the attempted assassination of Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. During the shooting, he rushed to shield Trump when he was scratched in the right ear by a speeding bullet (allegedly)
Curiously, and this is surely a coincidence Karoline Levitt previewed the evening with these words: “It’ll be entertaining. There will be some shots fired tonight in the room. So everyone should tune in. It’s going to be really great.”
And ninety minutes after Secret Service pulled him from the stage, and picked him up off the ground after he fell down, Trump called the Hilton “not a particularly secure building” and saying Secret Service and the military “are demanding” the new ballroom.
Of course, the Secret Service is responsible for making such events secure, and again, they flopped on the job. The question must be asked? Is this Incompetence by design? Their 2027 budget calls for $3.5 billion, up from $3 billion in 2024
Now let’s look at the killer. Ken Klippenstein has a nice piece about him. Young half black, half white guy, Christian, Engineering degree, teacher, and a Trump hater

Not too happy with the ICE detentions and calls Trump a rapist and pedophile which Trump denies. Probably wasn’t too happy about the Iran War but no mention of that in Kens post or his Manifesto.
Apparently this idiot thinks shooting Trump solves anything, but whatever. He apparently gets on a train from California to go to DC with a stop in Chicago. Packing a shotgun , handgun , knives and ammo he gets to DC and checks in at the Hilton the day before the event.
Now, I don’t know much about security on trains in the US but I don’t think you can carry all that in a carryon. Does this mean he checked it in? Surely checked luggage on trains is screened. Right? Or can a shotgun be broken down to fit in a carryon?
And luggage in a hotel. Unless he did not leave his room he left his luggage in room with guns and knives unattended. Surely guests are under heightened scrutiny during such events, and secret service must recruit the help of hotel staff who check guests room? Right?
What I am getting at is somewhere along the way Cole Tomas Allen was probably flagged and its possible Secret Service knew there was an armed gunman headed to the hotel or was already a guest in the hotel and this got passed on to Trumps Team who saw no threat, just opportunity.
Maybe they said let the sucker in and take some shots , take everyones mind off Iran, gives Trump a bump in the polls, and an opportunity to pimp the East Wing Ballroom
After all, it worked wonderfully in Butler except for the collateral damage (victims).
Cole even is surprised
PS: Ok now that all the sappy stuff is done, what the hell is the Secret Service doing? Sorry, gonna rant a bit here and drop the formal tone.
Like, I expected security cameras at every bend, bugged hotel rooms, armed agents every 10 feet, metal detectors out the wazoo.
What I got (who knows, maybe they’re pranking me!) is nothing.
No damn security.
Not in transport.
Not in the hotel.
Not in the event.
Like, the one thing that I immediately noticed walking into the hotel is the sense of arrogance.
I walk in with multiple weapons and not a single person there considers the possibility that I could be a threat.
The security at the event is all outside, focused on protestors and current arrivals, because apparently no one thought about what happens if someone checks in the day before.
Like, this level of incompetence is insane, and I very sincerely hope it’s corrected by the time this country gets actually competent leadership again.
Like, if I was an Iranian agent, instead of an American citizen, I could have brought a damn Ma Deuce in here and no one would have noticed shit.
Actually insane.

You decide. Are they really that incompetent or are they pranking us? Maybe Big Brother really does see all and just lets certain stuff happen if it suits them.
End
