Monkeypox in SF sewers As if you needed another reason to stay out of the Sewers. /news/traces-of-monkeypox-virus-found-in-san-francisco-wastewater So there are now 2500 moneypox cases diagnosed in the current outbreak, in over 40 countries, and not a single death that anyone can point to. Why should we care? Is it causing disfiguring scarring or something or is it just like Chickenpox? I really don’t know. Obviously the fatality rate is nowhere near 10% or 1% and it does not really spread that easily although more easily that previous strains.
